Physical Therapy Directors will direct and coordinate the policies, objectives, initiatives, and programs for the delivery of physical therapy programs to patients. They will oversee the performance of the physical therapy staff including but not limited to other PT’s, PTA’s, front desk staff and PT aides. The Director will be responsible for day to day operations of the clinic and report to top management. This position requires a doctorate degree or its equivalent.

Administrative

  • In charge of overall operations of the office, coordinate and delegate tasks and schedules
  • Implement & administer operational policies and procedures
  • Establish and maintain quality control standards
  • Ensure tasks are completed on time and records are current and accurate
  • Identify, develop and implement opportunities for operational improvements. Embrace and promote the use of appropriate technology to streamline and improve operations

Patient Care

  • The Physical Therapy Clinic Director is dedicated to achieving the highest quality of care optimizing superior clinical outcomes
  • The Physical Therapist Clinic Director will provide direct patient care, evaluate patient’s case history, functional capabilities, limitations and restrictions to determine the patients’ potential for rehabilitation
  • Prevent and address patient complaints and concerns

Financial & Business Development

  • Understand and implement the strategic objectives and values of the practice
  • Monitor and report key performance indicators identified by management team
  • Build and maintain relationships with doctors and other referral sources
  • Develop and implement innovative programs, growth and marketing strategies

Management

  • Hire, train and supervise skilled and productive team. Monitor and evaluate performance and recommend merit increases, promotions, and disciplinary actions when needed
  • Promote fun and happy environment without compromising team output
  • Prevent and resolve conflicts between staff members
  • Ensure compliance with current healthcare regulations, HR laws and ethics
  • Minimum 3 years PT experience in outpatient orthopedic setting
  • Experience in front office operations and knowledge of insurance billing coding, policies & procedures
  • Experience and knowledge in human resources management techniques and principles
  • Experience with MD marketing
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Self-motivated, professional, and highly organized
  • Proficient in the use of computers and EMR software

A Staff Physical Therapist will restore patient’s function, alleviate pain, and prevent disabilities by planning and administering medically prescribed physical therapy. They will diagnose and treat individuals who have medical problems or other health-related conditions that limit their abilities to move and perform functional activities in their daily lives.

  • The Physical Therapist will provide direct patient care; evaluate patient’s case history, functional capabilities, limitations and restrictions to determine the patients’ potential for rehabilitation
  • Meets the patient’s goals and needs and provide quality care by assessing and interpreting evaluations and test results
  • Helps patients accomplish treatment plan by administering manual treatment, patient education, therapeutic exercise, and other appropriate interventions
  • Evaluates effects of physical therapy treatments by noting, and evaluating patient’s progress and recommending changes to plan of care
  • Assures continuation of therapeutic plan following discharge by designing home exercise programs; instructing patients, families, and caregivers in home exercise programs
  • Maintains patient confidence and abides by HIPAA regulations
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
  • Complies with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Complete patient documentation within timely manner (within 24 hours) and be familiar with EMR
