Occupational Therapist

Annie Barnett, OTR/L, CHT has over 13 years of clinical experience in outpatient orthopedic settings. She attained her certification in hand therapy from the HTCC in 2013. She graduated from Mercy College with a Master of Science in “Occupational Therapy” in 2007 after earning a Bachelor of Science in “Health Science” from Mercy College in 2004 as well as a Bachelor of Arts in “Communication” from University of Scranton in 2002. She also attended The American Institute, Aix En Provence, France for a semester abroad in December 2000 to May 2001.

As a mother of 4 children, Annie has developed an incredible ability to multi-task, be patient, and keep positive, healthy energy as part of her therapeutic ingredients. Her extensive experience has given her a sincere and sensitive approach to clients of all backgrounds and ages. In addition to treating the physical symptoms of her patients, Annie also uses a holistic approach focusing much attention on the mental, emotional, and social health as well as addressing and discussing with her clients, the available support systems they have in order to attain better therapeutic outcomes.

As a certified hand therapist Annie has specific access to hand surgeons and their many different clients with a wide variety of diagnoses. Annie is a member of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA), National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT), American Society of Hand Therapists (ASHT), and Hand Therapy Certification Commission (HTCC).
